读懂艺术家 | 第二届公共艺术展——MR特别项目:阿丽娜·纳兹米耶娃&叶纪文、李玥璐&张骞文&张一帅

编者按
 
有别于传统“白盒子”展陈,“很高兴在这遇见你——GDMoA第二届公共艺术展”将作品置于美术馆的公共流线之中。雕塑、装置与数字媒介在开放空间里彼此呼应。而我们为何要逐一介绍这些艺术家?公共艺术的魅力,正在于其多元的实践路径与丰富的文化视点。本次展览既有黄永玉、李象群等前辈名家作品,亦有活跃于当下的中坚力量;既有来自中国内地与香港的创作者,也有国际艺术家的参与。特别值得关注的是香港科技大学(广州)MC² Lab带来的“幻实之境”项目,以混合现实与人工智能拓展公共艺术的感知边界。每一件创作都是一个独立的思考场域。它们共同构成这场关于“遇见”的展览,也等待着与每一位观众的不期而遇。
 
接下来的系列介绍中,我们将逐一走近这些艺术家及其作品。

Artist Biography
 
阿丽娜·纳兹米耶娃,是一位媒体艺术家、建筑师与教育者,关注科技在物质结构与文化语境中的影响。她的作品融合了扩展现实 (XR)、人工智能 (AI)、纺织、实体装置、数字模拟与游戏引擎,作品既作为叙事媒介,也构成批判性反思的场域。
 
她现任伊利诺伊大学厄本那-香槟分校建筑学院计算设计助理教授,拥有麻省理工学院建筑与规划学院硕士学位。其作品曾在威尼斯建筑双年展、洛杉矶建筑与设计博物馆、苏黎世数字艺术节等展览和机构中展出,并在哈佛大学设计研究生院、布拉格应用艺术学院、米兰理工大学、纽约帕森斯设计学院、亚洲计算机图形学与交互技术大会(2024)等机构与会议中发表研究成果。
 
Alina Nazmeeva is a media artist, architect and educator whose work examines the material and cultural implications of technology. Her work integrates Extended Reality (XR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), textiles, physical installations, digital simulations, and gaming engines, functioning both as narrative media and as sites of critical reflection. She is Assistant Professor of Computation at Illinois School of Architecture at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), and holds a Master’s degree from MIT School of Architecture and Planning(MIT SA+P).
 
Her work has been exhibited worldwide including the Venice Biennale of Architecture, the Architecture + Design Museum in Los Angeles, and Digital Art Zurich. She has also presented her research at the Harvard Graduate School of Design(GSD), the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague (UMPRUM), Politecnico Di Milano, Parsons School of Design at The New School (NYC), and SIGGRAPH Asia 2024.

作品的灵感源自普吉特海湾流域(也被部分海岸萨利希原住民称为 Whulge)及萨利希海南部独特的生态系统。它致敬了鲑鱼及其相关物种,赞颂它们在美国西北太平洋地区,尤其是西雅图生态系统中的重要角色。
 
数字化的潮起潮落构建出层叠繁复的空间结构,令人联想到鲑鱼洄游的景象,邀请观众探寻城市与其独特地理位置之间的对话。每一条路径代表普吉特海湾众多溪流与河床之一。那些既独立又共生的多彩形态沿着路径延伸、生长,并在数字水流中震荡,映射出西雅图的城市语境。
 
《流》引导观众思考鲑鱼生命周期的美——它们诞生于溪流与河床,随后游向大海,在那里度过生命的大部分时光,最终回到出生地繁衍新生命。在洄游途中,甚至产卵之后,鲑鱼走向生命终点,其遗体滋养着内陆的野生动物,最终肥沃了它们的出生地森林。这是一种罕见的生态现象:营养物质由海洋反向输送至陆地。这一循环在数百万年间塑造了该地区独特的景观,将植物、真菌与动物等无数生命紧密交织。尽管殖民与工业活动对水流及森林生态造成干扰,鲑鱼依然顽强存续,并正重返部分区域,例如近期拆除水坝的埃尔瓦河,继续其在生态修复中发挥重要作用。
 
Inspired by the unique ecosystems of the Puget Sound Watershed (also known as Whulge by some Coast Salish peoples) and the southern Salish Sea, Currents pays tribute to salmon and their related species,celebrating their role in the broader ecosystem of the Pacific Northwest and Seattle.
 
Digital ebbs and flows create layered and complex spatial compositions reminiscent of salmon runs, and invite viewers to explore a dialogue between the city and its special geographic location. Each path represents one of many creeks and riverbeds that comprise the Puget Sound. Colorful shapes—both one and many—continue their course, follow the paths, grow and oscillate in the digital currents, while reflecting Seattle's urban context.
 
Currents invites the viewer to contemplate the beauty of salmon life cycles from their birth in creeks and riverbeds, their passage to the ocean where they live most of their years, to their eventual homecoming to create new life at their source. After or even during the trek to spawn, salmon die and leave their bodies to feed wildlife inland, ultimately fertilizing their home forests in one of the few cases on Earth where nutrients flow from the ocean to the land. This cycle throughout millions of years has created the unique landscape of the region, braiding together the lives of countless beings, inclusive of flora, fungi, and fauna. Even in the face of colonial and industrial intervention in the flow of water and the growth of forests, salmon persist and are returning to places such as the recently undammed Elwha River to play their part in restoration.

Artists Biography
 
叶纪文博士是一位教育家、研究者和艺术家,专注于创意媒体中技术与叙事的融合。作为香港科技大学(广州)助理教授兼计算媒体与艺术 (CMA) 实验室主任,他负责领导创意艺术科技(CAT)团队,该团队致力于通过新兴媒体艺术推动内容创作、情感互动和价值生成。其研究结合理论与数字工具,探索媒体形式创新与创意内容之间的关系,他近期的项目研究包括对虚拟现实在超现实主义电影当中的应用和 STEAM 动画,并积极参与创意产业的专业咨询与学术出版工作。
 
李玥璐是香港科技大学(广州)计算媒体与艺术哲学硕士研究生,师从叶纪文教授,创意艺术科技(CAT)团队成员,研究方向包括人工智能在叙事中的应用,包括互动叙事、数据驱动叙事与视觉叙事。
 
Dr. David Kei Man Yip is an educator, researcher, and artist whose work focuses on the intergration of technology and storytelling in creative media. He is Assistant Professor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) and Director of the Computational Media and Art (CMA) Lab, where he leads the Creative Art Tech (CAT) team. The team is dedicating to advancing content creation, emotional engagement, and value generation through emerging media art technologies. His research integrates theoretical inquiry with digital tools to explore the relationship between innovative media forms and creative content. His recent projects include Virtual Reality(VR) on Cinematic Surrealism and STEAM animation. He is actively contributes to the creative industries through professional consultancy work and academic publications.
 
Li Yuelu is an MPhil student in Computational Media and Arts at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), supervised by Professor David Kei Man Yip. She is a member of the Creative Art Tech (CAT) team, and her research focuses on the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in storytelling, including interactive storytelling, data-driven storytelling, and visual storytelling.

人类赋予世界“时间”的维度,而不变的是我们对神秘与无限的永恒追求。《梦想星空》超越时空限制,融合东方神话、人工智能与未来科技,讲述人类不断探索未知、追逐星辰秘密的旅程。然而,随着科技进步,虚幻与现实的边界逐渐模糊,看似触手可及的未来,也让我们逐渐忘却了当下存在的真实。
 
本作深受安德烈·布勒东超现实主义哲学启发,将梦境与潜意识的探索与现实世界交织,同时致敬《2001太空漫游》中关于人类进化与宇宙探索的主题。作品通过虚拟制作,以东方神秘图腾“龙”为开端,在虚拟环境中引发对人类文化的深刻思考。借助 Runway 与 ComfyUI等 AI 平台,敦煌飞天壁画中的静态形象转化为动态视觉,使古老艺术意象在现代媒介中流动,呈现时空交织的新语言。
 
作品采用虚幻引擎构建虚拟宇宙场景,并结合人工智慧生成内容(AIGC)生成的“黑洞”“曼陀罗”等象征元素以视觉隐喻探寻物质与精神、科技与神话之间的深层统一,映射人类认知的演进过程。黑洞的神秘与曼陀罗的宇宙秩序,成为连接现实与超现实、过去与未来的桥梁,突破传统电影叙事边界,创造沉浸式的超现实艺术体验。
 
这种突破虚拟与现实边界的创作方式,呼应了古代敦煌壁画的精神:在物理空间受限的条件下,先民将对宇宙的无限想象投射于岩壁。今天,虚拟制作技术使现代艺术家摆脱空间限制,开启无限的创作场域。《梦想星空》借助 人工智能(AI) 协作创作,拓展了人类艺术视野,推动电影叙事与艺术表达的深层革新,不仅挑战虚实、数码与物理之间的界限,也邀请观众走入一个融合未来幻想与哲学思考的超现实艺术世界,探索人类、宇宙、科技与灵魂之间的无限关联。
 
Humanity has endowed the ever-changing world with the dimension of “time”, yet what remains unchanged is our eternal pursuit of the mysterious and the infinite. Dreaming the Stars transcends the limitations of time and space, blending Eastern mythology, artificial intelligence, and future technology. It narrates humanity's enduring journey to explore the unknown, dreaming of uncovering the secrets of distant stars. Yet, as technology advances, the boundaries between the surreal and the real blur, and the seemingly attainable future causes us to forget the truth of our present existence.
 
This work is deeply inspired by André Breton’s surrealist philosophy, intertwining the exploration of dreams and the unconscious with the tangible world, while paying homage to the themes of human evolution and cosmic exploration in 2001: A Space Odyssey. Through virtual production, the project begins with the symbol of the “Loong”,an Eastern mystical icon, introduced within a virtual environment, prompting a profound reflection on human culture. Using AI technologies on platforms such as Runway and ComfyUI, static images from the Dunhuang flying deity murals are transformed into dynamic visuals, allowing past artistic visions to flow within modern mediums, presenting a new language of intertwined time and space.
 
By constructing a virtual universe environment with Unreal Engine (UE) and integrating Artificial Intelligence Generated Content(AIGC)-generated symbols such as black holes and mandalas, the work explores, through visual metaphors, the deep unity between matter and spirit, technology and myth, reflecting humanity’s evolving process of cognition. The mysteries of black holes and the cosmic order of mandalas become the bridges connecting the real and the surreal, the past and the future, breaking the traditional boundaries of film narrative and creating an immersive surreal art experience.
 
This method of transcending the boundaries of the physical and virtual echoes the spirit of ancient Dunhuang cave paintings. Our ancestors projected their limitless imagination of the cosmos onto cave walls, constrained by physical space. Today, Virtual Production (VP) technology allows modern artists to break free from these spatial limitations and open up endless fields of creation. Dreaming the Stars, aided by Artificial Intelligence (AI)-assisted creation, expands human artistic vision while driving profound innovation in film narrative and artistic expression. It not only challenges the boundaries between the virtual and the real, the digital and the physical, but also invites the audience into a surreal artistic world, rich with futuristic imagination and philosophical reflection, exploring the infinite connections between humanity, the cosmos, technology, and the soul.

Artist Biography
 
张骞文是一位艺术家、策展人及独立游戏开发者,现于香港科技大学(广州)攻读博士学位,研究聚焦扩展现实(XR)与人工智能(AI)驱动的艺术叙事。她硕士毕业于英国皇家艺术学院与伦敦大学学院,对跨学科研究抱有浓厚兴趣,擅长以去人类中心视角展开对世界的观察与介入。其作品曾在慕尼黑珠宝周、伦敦工艺周, 以及上海M50艺术区等地展出,并受邀在纽约时装技术学院(FIT)研讨会发表论文。她于2021年在上海举办个展《UNFOLD YOUR BODY 1.0/2.0》,并因策划虚拟展览《地心凝视》而广受关注。
 
Azure Zhang is an artist, curator, and independent game developer. She is currently a PhD candidate at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), with research focusing on artistic storytelling through Extended Reality (XR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). She holds a master’s degree from the Royal College of Art (RCA) and University College London (UCL), and her practice is grounded in interdisciplinary research and a de-anthropocentric perspective. Her works have been exhibited at Munich Jewellery Week, London Craft Week, and Shanghai’s M50 Art Zone, among others. She was invited to present her master’s thesis at a symposium hosted by the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York. In 2021, she held two solo exhibitions UNFOLD YOUR BODY 1.0 and 2.0 in Shanghai, and later gained recognition for curating the virtual online exhibition Earth Core Gazing.

Mycelial Memories explores the profound interconnections between natural systems and human cultural documentation through an immersive experience that reimagines fungi as interfaces between biological wisdom and digital memory. Inspired by the vast underground networks of mycelium that facilitate communication and resource sharing among forest organisms, this work creates a parallel digital system where fungi become the mediators of human cultural memory.

张一帅,是一位计算艺术家,目前在香港科技大学(广州)计算媒体与艺术学域攻读博士学位。他的研究聚焦于人机交互、具身认知与体验计算,主要方向为“正念人机交互”,探索如何通过具身界面、多模态感知与视听同步,在数字系统中营造临场感、激发反思、唤起情感参与。他先后毕业于同济大学、柏林工程应用科技大学与伦敦大学金史密斯学院,具备工程、设计与计算艺术等多学科背景。在艺术创作与人机交互研究的交叉领域,张一帅将数字对象视为兼具体验性与关系性的存在,借助深度学习、多模态数据与沉浸式媒介,探究早期感知与跨模态对齐等议题。他的作品曾多次参与国内外展览,包括昆明双年展、广东美术馆公共艺术节,以及在上海、特拉维夫、埃森、威尼斯、麦克尔斯菲尔德、伦敦、瓦伦西亚等地展出。他曾入围流明奖,并获深圳环球设计大赛铜奖。他的研究成果曾在ARTeFACTo、ISEA、EVA London、VINCI等国际会议上发表,体现出他在计算艺术、扩展现实与正念人机交互等交叉领域的跨学科学术探索。
 
Zhang Yishuai is a computational artist and PhD student in Computational Media and Arts at HKUST (Guangzhou) whose work focuses on human–machine interaction, embodied cognition, and experiential computing. His main research direction, Mindfulness in HCI, investigates how embodied interfaces, multimodal sensing, and audio-visual synchrony can foster presence, reflection, and affective engagement in digital systems.He holds degrees from Tongji University, Berliner Hochschule für Technik, and Goldsmiths, University of London, reflecting a multidisciplinary foundation in engineering, design, and computational arts.Bridging artistic practice and HCI research, Zhang explores digital objects as experiential and relational entities, integrating deep learning, multimodal data, and immersive media to examine early-stage perception and cross-modal alignment. His work has been exhibited internationally, including the Kunming Biennale, Guangdong Museum of Art, and venues in Shanghai, Tel Aviv, Essen, Venice, Macclesfield, London, and Valencia. He has been shortlisted for the Lumen Prize and awarded the Shenzhen Global Design Award – Bronze.His research papers have been presented at conferences such as ARTeFACTo, ISEA, EVA London, and VINCI, reflecting his interdisciplinary approach at the intersection of computational art, XR, and mindful human–machine interaction.

《灵光共熠》是一件基于增强现实(AR)技术的沉浸式数字艺术作品,围绕“感知”“记忆”与“共鸣”展开视觉探索。作品通过抽象化的光影结构与流动形态,构建出一个介于现实与虚拟之间的诗性空间。空中悬浮的结构体释放出蓝色光点与能量线条,象征信息与情感在不同个体之间的流动与连接。观者的身体移动与视角变化会实时影响影像生成,使观看过程成为一种持续的互动体验。作品以温和而包容的视觉语言,呈现当代数字环境中人与信息、人与环境之间的感知关系,引导观者在流动的光影中体验共享记忆与情感共鸣。
 
Shared Sparks is an immersive digital artwork based on Augmented Reality (AR) technology, exploring themes of perception, memory, and resonance. Through abstract light structures and fluid visual forms, the work creates a poetic space between the physical and the virtual. Suspended structures release blue particles and luminous streams, symbolizing the flow of information and emotion across different individuals. Viewers’ body movements and perspectives influence the real-time generation of visuals , transforming observation into an interactive experience.
 
With a gentle and inclusive visual language, the artwork reflects on contemporary relationships between humans, information, and the environment, inviting audiences to experience shared memory and emotional resonance through shifting light and space.
