Introduction
"A Collection of Stories: Art Exhibition of Li Zhouwei" is a visual record by an ink artist. Li Zhouwei consistently constructs the real world through the language of ink and wash. Her paintings are like a continuous, ever-evolving state book that records the walking, pausing, and looking back within the human world—an observation and sampling that stays close to reality without ever reaching a final conclusion. Like a field sampler, she wanders and stoops within the "secular world," unearthing the undefined fragments and "facets of life."
Using ink as a thread, the exhibition connects fragmented narratives. Whether it is a gaze from behind a window, a fleeting moment on the street, or a freehand depiction of "crowds" or "unmanned" landscapes, her brushstrokes are always anchored in the human condition. Through the varying density of ink and the shifting movement of her brush, she delves into the contingency and fragility of the social fabric, capturing the echoes and differences of every presence, and injecting a sense of warmth and narrative gaze into contemporary ink art.
