Visitor Guidelines and Services

I. Visitor Notice

(I) The Guangdong Museum of Art's two venues implement a policy of no reservation required for entry. Visitors can enter after passing a security check. For inquiries, please call the hotline: 020-87351468 (Ersha Venue), 020-88902999, 020-88902888 (Baietan Venue). Service hours are Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00—17:00.

1. Individual Entry:

Both venues of the Guangdong Museum of Art implement a policy of no reservation required for individuals. Visitors can enter after passing a security check. In the event of peak passenger flow, temporary flow control measures will be implemented on-site. We appreciate your understanding.

2. Group Reservation:

Group reservation channels are open for both venues (guided tours not included). Please call for consultation first: 020-87351468 (Ersha Venue), 020-82156598 (Baietan Venue). Group reservation phone duty hours: Tuesday to Friday, 9:00—12:00, 14:00—16:30.

(II) Active duty military personnel, core militia, veterans, families of martyrs, families of military personnel who died in the line of duty, families of deceased military personnel, fire and rescue personnel, persons with disabilities, blood donors, and seniors over 65 years old may enter the museum after presenting their valid original IDs and passing the security check.

(III) Except for special ticketed exhibitions, other exhibitions are free of charge. Please be cautious and do not trust ticket purchasing services offered in any form.

(IV) There is no public parking lot at the Ersha Venue; please refer to nearby parking guidelines. The public parking lot at the Baietan Venue is open (please follow the "Parking Inquiry" on the Baietan Greater Bay Area Art Center official account).

Paid Exhibition Policy: Ticket prices for special exhibitions are subject to on-site display or official announcements. After purchasing a special exhibition ticket, visitors may enter the museum through security check with the ticket.

II. Code of Conduct

(I) Individuals with disheveled attire, intoxication, peddlers, advertisers, patients with acute mental illness, or infectious diseases are prohibited from entering. Minors under 14 years old (inclusive) must be accompanied by an adult. One adult can accompany a maximum of three minors under 14. Unaccompanied minors or minors whose guardians fail to fulfill their supervision duties will be taken to a designated area for temporary care by the museum staff.

(II) Please consciously maintain environmental hygiene and take care of venue facilities and equipment. Littering, spitting, smoking, and other uncivilized behaviors are prohibited. If damage to works, facilities, or equipment, or environmental pollution is caused due to violation of regulations, corresponding compensation will be charged according to the actual situation on-site. (III) In accordance with the "Regulations on the Safety Management of Public Places," "Regulations on the Safety Management of Hazardous Chemicals," and other relevant laws and regulations, visitors must consciously cooperate with security checks. It is strictly forbidden to bring flammable and explosive items, sharp/offensive weapons, corrosive items, toxic and harmful substances, pets (except for other animals and certified guide dogs), printed materials violating relevant laws, other special dangerous goods, and items that pose safety hazards affecting visitors or the safety of exhibits.

(IV) Food and liquid beverages are prohibited in the exhibition halls. Please store or consume them in designated areas.

(V) To maintain order and a good environment in the exhibition halls, please obey the management of the staff and observe the following:

  • Please queue orderly to enter the venue and maintain a safe distance while viewing exhibitions.
  • Eating and drinking are prohibited in exhibition halls and public areas of the museum, except in designated areas.
  • Please consciously take care of and correctly use exhibition equipment and public service facilities. Climbing over barriers and fences is strictly prohibited. Leaning on, touching, soiling, or destroying exhibits is strictly prohibited.
  • Please do not make loud noises, run, chase, fight, climb, lie down, dance, or engage in other uncivilized behaviors that affect others' viewing experience in the venue.
  • When taking photos or videos, please do not use flash, selfie sticks, tripods, gimbals, or other auxiliary photography equipment. Media personnel who need to use the above tools for work purposes must apply to the relevant department of the museum in advance and register. Please do not take photos in exhibitions or areas where photography is restricted.
  • Copying (sketching) of non-unframed works is allowed from 9:00 to 10:30, Tuesday to Friday. The hand-held drawing board used for copying must not exceed 21cm×29.7cm (no larger than A4 paper size), and only charcoal pencils may be used. The copying area is subject to on-site signage.
  • Without the permission of the museum, no unit or individual may use the resources of this venue or conduct commercial activities such as lectures, teaching, performances, commercial filming, self-media live streaming, or recording within the museum.
  • All public welfare activities provided by our museum to the public are free of charge.

(VI) When the density of people in the museum exceeds the carrying capacity, or in the event of major or temporary activities, the museum will divert visitors or suspend entry according to the situation. Please follow on-site arrangements. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

(VII) In case of any emergencies, please follow the guidance and arrangements of on-site staff to leave in an orderly manner.

(VIII) For those who violate the above regulations, the museum has the right to take measures such as dissuasion and suspension of service within a necessary and reasonable scope. Persons and their units who refuse to obey management, disrupt the normal order of visits, and cause adverse effects will be held legally responsible depending on the severity of the circumstances.

Friendly Reminder: The venue maintains a constant temperature of 22°C year-round. There is a significant temperature difference between indoors and outdoors. It is recommended to bring extra clothing to keep warm.
