艺术的面貌千差万别，而艺术家的创作脉络，往往隐匿于作品光影的背后，静待深究。广东美术馆始终关注当代艺术的多元生态与个体表达，深信每一位艺术家都是独特的坐标，他们的思考与实践，共同绘制着时代的精神图景。为此，我们推出“读懂艺术家”系列栏目。这不仅是关于艺术家及其作品的常规介绍，更是一项长期的学术深耕与公共传播实践。我们将以此为载体，力求通过日积月累的专题呈现，逐步构建起一份详实、立体、具有文献价值的当代艺术家资料库。让我们一同，在持续的阅读与对话中，见证并书写正在发生的历史。
The face of art varies immensely, and the creative threads of artists often lie hidden behind the light and shadow of their works, awaiting deeper exploration. The Guangdong Museum of Art has always focused on the diverse ecology and individual expressions of contemporary art, firmly believing that every artist is a unique coordinate—their thoughts and practices together map the spiritual landscape of our time. To this end, we are launching the “Understanding the Artist” series. This is not merely a conventional introduction to artists and their works, but a long-term scholarly endeavor and a practice of public communication. Through this platform, we strive to gradually build, with sustained thematic presentations, a detailed, multi-dimensional, and archivally valuable database of contemporary artists. Let us together, through continuous reading and dialogue, witness and write the history that is unfolding.

《春光》作品采用浓郁的蓝色调，边缘锐利，呈矩形，表面纹理却并不规整。这些金属结构仿佛经历着持续的拉伸与收缩，前部布满深邃褶皱、凸起与凹陷，似乎有力量从内部推挤而出。部分区域呈现柔韧光滑的形态，另一些区域则布满褶皱与锯齿状纹理，形成强烈的视觉对比。
这件作品的灵感源自春天，其形态唤起自然元素的想象，如绽放的花蕾、舞动的花瓣，或是被风吹拂而泛起涟漪的水面。作品传递出生长与蜕变的意境，仿佛材料本身具有生命活力并不断发生变化。
Spring Light is in an intense blue color, with sharp edges and a rectangular shape, yet its surface is far from regular. The front is marked by deep folds, bulges, and cavities that seem to expand and contract, as if the metal had been pushed from within. Some areas appear more stretched and smoother, while others are more wrinkled and jagged, creating a strong visual contrast.
The work is inspired by spring: its forms recall natural elements such as buds opening, petals in motion, or water surfaces rippled by the wind. There is a sense of growth and transformation, as if the material were alive and constantly changing.

《夏光》作品以宽大而紧凑的水平面呈现，中央的振动打破了平静。这一简洁至极的形态被柔和而集中的变形所打断，宛如波浪由内向外扩散。
浓郁明亮的黄色瞬间唤起夏日的能量与丰盈感，温暖而富有包裹感的光线仿佛在表面蔓延开来。中心区域的材料呈现压缩变形的状态，形成流动的褶皱，以动态方式捕捉并扩散光线。不同于艺术家惯常使用的镜面抛光表面，这件作品的色彩赋予其更强烈的感官体验与氛围感。光线不仅被反射，更仿佛在自然散发，传递出阳光的温暖，又营造出轻快的夏日意境。
Summer Light presents itself as a wide, compact horizontal surface, animated by a central vibration that disrupts its regularity. The form, essential and almost minimal, is interrupted by a soft, concentrated deformation, like a wave spreading from the inside outward.
The intense, luminous yellow finish evokes the energy and fullness of summer: a warm, enveloping light that seems to expand across the surface. At the center, the material appears compressed and shaped, generating fluid folds that capture and diffuse light in a dynamic way. Unlike the artist’s typical mirror-polished surfaces, here color introduces a more sensory and atmospheric dimension. Light is not merely reflected but seems to radiate, evoking the warmth of the sun and the suspended quality of the summer season.

相较于其他作品，《秋光》的核心区域分布了更为精细且广泛的变形结构并形成动态效果。沿中心轴延伸的褶皱与波纹激活了看似稳定的形态，营造出不规则而富有有机美感的视觉韵律。浓郁的红色调如同温暖深沉的秋日，让人联想到成熟的树叶、柔和的光线与万物蜕变的景象。这种丰盈而包容的色彩，强化了对内敛之光的感知：它不那么张扬，却层次分明。
Autumn Light is animated by a series of more articulated and widespread central deformations compared to other works. The form, seemingly stable, is activated by a system of folds and ripples that extend along the central axis, creating an irregular and organic visual rhythm. The intense red finish evokes the warm, deep tones of autumn—mature leaves, low light, and matter in transformation. The color, rich and enveloping, enhances the perception of a more contained, internal light, less expansive and more layered.

《冬光》呈矩形，边缘锐利，表面纹理却并不规整。其正面布满褶皱、凹陷与凸起，这些结构向中心方向逐渐压缩，营造出强烈的内部张力。部分区域表面光滑延展，另一些区域则呈现锯齿状复杂纹理，形似冬日里的晶体、碎冰或压实的积雪。作品中弥漫着静止与寂静的气息，同时也蕴含着内敛的力量。
Winter Light is rectangular in shape with sharp edges, yet highly irregular across its surface. The front is marked by folds, cavities, and bulges that seem to compress toward the center, creating a sense of internal tension. Some areas are smooth and stretched, while others appear more jagged and complex, with forms reminiscent of crystals, shattered ice, or compacted snow. There is a sense of stillness and silence, but also of contained strength.

赫利顿·希夏，1970年出生，现生活工作于意大利米兰和阿联酋迪拜。他以不锈钢为主要媒介，围绕“雕刻光线”的艺术理念进行创作，将光视为原始能量的载体，创作出与环境产生动态对话的公共雕塑。
希夏曾于意大利乌菲齐美术馆、米兰王宫等重要场馆举办展览，其大型公共雕塑在全球多地公共空间展出。他曾参与威尼斯双年展等国际展览，并于2024年荣获武汉双年展贡献奖。
Helidon Xhixha was born in 1970 and lives and works in Milan, Italy and Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Using stainless steel as his medium, Xhixha adheres to the artistic concept of "carving light", viewing light as a carrier of primitive energy. He creates public sculptures that engage in dynamic dialogue with the environment.
He has held large-scale exhibitions at major venues such as the Uffizi Gallery and Palazzo Reale, Milan. His large-scale public sculptures have been installed in squares worldwide. He has participated in major international art exhibitions, including the Venice Biennale. In 2024, he was awarded the Wuhan Biennale Contribution Award
