21世纪的世界画坛，已进入一个多元化、异彩分呈、百家争鸣的时代。对一个艺术家来说，如何驾驭把握时代特征，在艺术实践中探索、研究，以新思路、新思想去开拓、创新、发展，已成为每一个艺术家必须面对的课题。
观少华君近期的油画新作“荷花系列”，可以感觉其明显的艺术取向和符合自己个性审美的艺术语言，他以东方文化特有的精神内涵与表现形式，特别是吸取了中国文人画“大泼墨、大泼彩、大写意”的表现手法，融会贯通，与西方油画技法有机地结合起来，、使画面既有强烈的视觉冲击力又充满浪漫与诗意。可见少华君对博大精深的中国文化艺术的研究、理解及感悟极深。
可以说，少华君的
“荷花系列”作品在油画的表现技法上是一个新的突破，取得了可喜的成功。愿少华君在艺术的画坛上随时代再接再厉、永攀不止、再创佳绩！

The Pursuit of Perfection and the Appreciation of Beauty
21st century’s fine art is one that features diversity,
splendor and competitions. Thus artists are subjected to face new tasks: how to
be more creative and explorative, how to keep a finger on the pulse of time, and
how to explore and learn from new art practices.
Shaohua’s
new oil paintings-“Lotus Series”-are obvious with his artistic interest and is
expressed in a way that integrates his unique astern character with his painting
techniques. He successfully structured his painting with powerful vision
together with the romance of Chinese poetry, thanks to Shaohua’s unique oriental
spirit, especially when he fuses his western oil painting technique with the
dramatic ‘ink splash’ of Chinese ink paintings. Through his lotus abstracts we
are given a reason to admire his profound understanding of the Chinese
culture.
