Tsuruta Takeyoshi Library

Tsuruta Takeyoshi (1937-2009) is a famous Japanese scholar. Since the late 1960s, Mr. Tsurata had committed to studying Chinese contemporary and modern art history. He served as curator of the Osaka City Museum of Art, head of Fine Arts of the Tokyo National Cultural Property Institute and director China Modern Art Research Center. Since the late 1960s, Mr. Tsurata had conducted research, investigation and material collection in Japan, China, Europe and the United States and spent more than 30 years to independently complete the personal collections, which received great attention in terms of the quantity and features and were donated to Guangdong Museum of Art in 2007. There are about 5,996 books at Tsurata Takeyoshi Library.
